My group project from General Assembly.
A website displaying upcoming concerts in a given area. The listings appear by moving a four-mile circle on a map.
This is a single-page website with AJAX requests to a NodeJS back-end. My role in the group was implementing the Google Maps API and building the front-end.

My career change
After flirting with the idea for a while, I bravely plunged myself into the mysterious world of coding. It turned out to be a really great move for me.
I enjoyed being switched on all the time with so many things to discover along the way. I also loved being in a group, seeing the various ways people can approach a problem.
Going for the career change was a bold move, but I feel 100% happy that I have done it.

Assistant Artist Manager at Music Inter Alia
Initially employed on an interim basis, I was soon promoted to take the lead in modernising the agency's diary management and find other digital tools to improve work efficiency.
I oversaw the introduction of Overture, an online web application designed for booking agencies, and set up synchronised calendars for the artists.
Another key aspect of my role was helping to secure new artist engagements. I set up a file system of promotional materials, media files, technical riders, as well as a visual database of promoters on Google Maps.

Assistant Engineer at Tom-Tom Studio
After graduating with a music technology degree in London, I worked on orchestral recordings for a Hungarian studio as an assistant engineer. I have amassed a wealth of experience in studio sessions with clients including the BBC, Sky, Air-Edel, West One, Imagem and productions such as Crysis and Call of Duty.
As the only London-based employee, I was encouraged to find new business opportunities for the studio. This led me to open a remote listening room in London, where clients could follow the recording sessions in Budapest and give feedback in real time.

BA in Music Tech at University of West London
I have played the piano from an early age and went on to play in different bands in Budapest and London. I decided to learn music technology so I can produce tracks on my own. The course gave me a solid foundation to start out within the industry and further my knowledge in the field.
Sep 2008 - July 2011About me
With a former career in music production and artist management, software has played a big part in my life. My curiosity led me to learn about the basics of programming. As my horizon broadened, I set myself a new goal: completing General Assembly's Web Development Immersive course and becoming a junior web developer.
I'm currently looking for opportunities to join a team where I can hone my skills either as a back-end or front-end developer.
The three-month General Assembly boot camp gave me a solid foundation in web development. Held by industry professionals, the course has also introduced me to agile development, daily stand-ups, GitHub teamwork, public presentation and regular pair-programming.
Whilst on the course, I have gained confident skills in MongoDB, Express, NodeJS, AngularJS, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3/SASS,JavaScript/jQuery - while have also completed projects with Active Record, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sinatra, Materialize and Bootstrap.
